Back on track

OK - The weather finally broke in northeast Ohio, and I've been able to get a small amount of barefoot runs in. On Sunday I did 2 miles in 19 minutes (slow, I know, but lots of snow and ice still on the ground), and Wednesday I got in 10 minutes for a little more than a mile. (still lots of snow and ice).

So, conditions are far from perfect for bf running, but getting there after the worst winter in memory. Also Ken Bob may be coming to Massillon for a barefoot running clinic in June! Very exciting - hopefully I can run more than a couple miles with him by then.

Finally, goals - my earlier goals got blasted away with frostbite in January, so a new, more moderate goal is a 5K injury-free in the spring, (no set PR time), and an injury-free 10K in the fall. That's it - no more, and less if necessary. For weekly goals, I'd say working up to 10 miles a week in April would be pretty great.
